Flight Training of Mobile is hiring qualified Flight Instructors!!
POSITION SUMMARY
Certified flight Instructors will provide flight and ground training to the students and customers of FTM in a variety of ways. FTM's CFI’s will spend one-on-one time with students covering all aspects of entry level flying through educational text, ground school and instruction, as well as flight simulation and the actual flying of an aircraft. As needed, instructors will be required to act as “on-duty instructor” for solo flight authorizations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
· One-on-one ground and flight training with professional, non-professional, and contract students/customers.
· “On-duty instructor” – review students’ weather and flight planning to authorize solo flights.
· Completing paperwork and recordkeeping of student training.
· Working weekends and evenings as needed.
· Ability to apply all FAA regulations, policies and practices into ones own decision making, as well as the teaching of students to ensure a safe and thorough training.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)
Required:
FAA – Commercial Pilot Certificate
FAA – Certified Flight Instructor Certificate – ASEL
Current FAA Third Class (or higher) Flight Medical
Employment Type: Full-Time or Part-Time at $25 per hour
